Personal Information: On December 8th,1944 Lt.-Col. Mogg was

                      traveling with Lt. W.L. Carr of the                            Assault Pioneer Platoon to visit " C"                          Company positions at Vintelen (Germany)                        when a shell exploded close to the                              "Dingo" vehicle they were in,the shell

                      splinters hit the car and Lt. Carr,who                          suffered a serious head wound. Lt.-Col.                        Mogg was uninjured but Lt. Carr later                          died of his wounds.
